International Requirements:
Driver must have valid license and or international permit from country of origin. Please note that we only accept international licenses from the follow regions: European Union,
Central / South American,
Australia, and the
United Kingdom.

Credit Card Requirement

In order to rent from Discount, the renter must provide a valid credit card in their own name, no exceptions. Please refer below under "Deposit Requirements" for a list of all accepted credit cards.

Additional Drivers

2 additional drivers permitted an additional chargeof $ 2.95 applies per day(per additional driver)

Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 23

Additional drivers must present valid drivers licence at time of pick up or during rental period before driving rental vehicle.

Driving Area

Vehicles can not be driven beyond the New England States and Eastern Canada without prior consent of the location. Please call location for applicable rates and restrictions. Unlimited kilometers only applies to vehicles driven only within the maritime provinces. Vehicles driven outside the maritimes will be subject to 200 km free per day and $0.18/km there-after, starting at the begining of the rental period.

One-Way Rentals

One way rentals are allowed to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Discount locations with the prior consent of the location. Please contact the location for cuurent drop off fees.

Insurance Policies and Surcharges

All rentals require a policy of insurance to cover collision and comphensive damage. Discount has various waivers programs to suit you needs. Best Coverage, Practical Assistance Package, and Insurance Deductible Waiver. We also accept insurance transfer and most credit card coverage however the renter must provide proof of insurance at the time of the rental.

Collision Damage Waiver

Our best coverage,carries a zero deductible for collision damage and zero deductible for tires and windshields. Trucks and Cargo Van carries a $500.00 deductible for collision only.

Practical Assistance Package

Practical Assistance Package a great program that fills in any gaps of transfered insurance poliy or credit card coverage. Features include waiver of first $500.00 in damage, zero deuctible for windshield and tire damage

Charlottetown Airport Drop Fee

12.95 fixed

Our clients can conveniently drop off thier vehicle at the Charlottetown Airport 24 hours per day in the easy access short term parking lot for a fee of $12.95. We pay the parking and pick up the vehicle from the airport for you. See counter agent for details
